Monday 23 March 2020

Hi boys and girls and Mums and Dads,

I hope that all of you are doing well in this very strange time that we find ourselves. I know that I have assigned school work for the next couple of weeks but I just wanted to say that I understand that some of you are in different situations. I know some Mums and Dads are still working, and some are trying to work from home and also that some of you have little brothers and sisters running around at home. So with regard to the school work , just do what you are able to. Keep reading everyday, practice your multiplication and division tables, do your Mental Maths and your English in Practice. If you have someone to help you, you can continue with the other book work and I will outline some further work from your books in the next few weeks.

Do not worry about school, you will not fall behind. Every child in Ireland is off school. I will also put up some websites for you to look at and interact with. However if the weather is good and it is safe for you to be outside, spend as much time outside as possible. When we go back to school you will wish for all the free time where you could just run outside to play.

I know that all of you in 3rd class are especially kind and caring so please let it shine. Help your parents to do jobs around the house or to take care of your younger brothers and sisters. Cheer each other up with jokes and stories. I know you are very good at this.

I cannot wait to see you all back in school. Until then, I hope you all stay safe and well,
best wishes,
                    Mrs. Keogh
