Welcome back everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and a nice break together. Below is an outline of the school work for this week. We will focus on the 3 core subjects of English , Maths and Gaeilge. The outline is split up day by day but you can do as much/little as you want each day.
Also please remember to do your quizzes when you have finished reading a book. https://ukhosted92.renlearn.co.uk/6648402 The teachers can monitor these online and check in to see how you are getting on.
If you have any questions you can contact me on ckeogh@killygarryns.ie. I have sent an email to your parents explaining that we will be using the blog to update and outline your work each week and to be sure to contact me if you have any questions.

Hi everyone,
So if everything was normal, we would be getting our Easter Holidays from school today. So I want you all to have a break, try and enjoy yourselves. Don't worry about school or homework. Appreciate all the wonderful things and people you have in your life. That is what is important.
Here is a reminder of my email address in case anyone wants to send me a letter/email/picture at any stage over Easter ckeogh@killygarryns.ie.
Reading
Over Easter, chill out, read and keep doing your quizzes, remember you can access them through the school website.https://ukhosted92.renlearn.co.uk/6648402.
Also incase you have finished reading your 3 books already check out the Accelerated reading free ebooks. Go to the school website homepage to see how to gain access.
Alternatively as libraries are closed the app Borrow Box is a free app that allows you to download up to 5 ebooks and 5 audio books at a time. All you need is a library card. If you don't have a library card-log in for free at librariesIreland.ie/join. You can then create a pin an download the Borrow Box app and download the books.
Also you might like to listen to a good book on Audible.
Perhaps you would like to try a bit of baking over Easter, here are a few websites that you might get some ideas on.
Another website you might want to check out is Designer Minds Daily Challenge-this is an Irish company providing STEAM activities for school children. They are now providing daily challenges using household products.
I will assign the next set of schoolwork after the Easter Holidays. I hope you all continue to be safe and well, talk to you all soon.

Hi everyone,
Folens are making all of their resources and ebooks freely available during COVID 19. To access this resource go to folensonline and registrar as a teacher. Fill in your details and your own password and use the code Prim 20 as the school roll number. We will be using this for Gaeilge after Easter. We had just started on the theme Aimsir before we finished up which is lesson 15 and 16 if you want to try some of the activities for it.
Below are a few easy drawings if anyone wants to do a few sketches.

Hi boys and girls and Mums and Dads,
I hope that all of you are doing well in this very strange time that we find ourselves. I know that I have assigned school work for the next couple of weeks but I just wanted to say that I understand that some of you are in different situations. I know some Mums and Dads are still working, and some are trying to work from home and also that some of you have little brothers and sisters running around at home. So with regard to the school work , just do what you are able to. Keep reading everyday, practice your multiplication and division tables, do your Mental Maths and your English in Practice. If you have someone to help you, you can continue with the other book work and I will outline some further work from your books in the next few weeks.
Do not worry about school, you will not fall behind. Every child in Ireland is off school. I will also put up some websites for you to look at and interact with. However if the weather is good and it is safe for you to be outside, spend as much time outside as possible. When we go back to school you will wish for all the free time where you could just run outside to play.
I know that all of you in 3rd class are especially kind and caring so please let it shine. Help your parents to do jobs around the house or to take care of your younger brothers and sisters. Cheer each other up with jokes and stories. I know you are very good at this.
I cannot wait to see you all back in school. Until then, I hope you all stay safe and well,
best wishes,
Mrs. Keogh
